USA tariff info on Australian products

Supreme Quilts will not pass on or add the 10% or 15% tariff to orders from USA customers.

**UPDATE 2/22/2026

We are now waiting on the executive order to be signed for the 15% global tariff. Its currently 10% but is expected to increase on Tuesday the 24th?

It is still business as usual here. We have not collected tariffs from US customers since its introduction so it will not impact our US customers. 

Australian businesses can choose to collect it or not, if we dont add it to a sale we would essentially be paying the tariff. We decided we would NOT collect the tariff from customers. 

Perhaps some things for our US customers to consider. The US dollar is strong so you have a very good exchange rate, our products become much cheaper for US customers, maybe you might want to add a tip at checkout instead to help us cover these tariff costs?

How is the tariff collected from us?

We use Australia Post who onforward to USPS. A US company called Zonos collects the tariff on behalf of the US government from us through our Australia Post business account. This avoids any requirements on USPS or US Customs to collect the tariff. It also avoids customers getting a nasty surprise for payment.

How your invoice will look.

As we are covering the tariff it essentially is within the price structure. How you are invoiced will be the purchase price less the tariff we will be paying. This avoids us paying it twice. We also remove the postage cost off the price, tariffs are on the value of the goods not postage. 

The way the tariff has been calculated by Zonos is done in a way that inflates the value of the item. When the create a high value (using the currency exchange rates) they also inflate the fee they charge us for collecting the tariff. So while the tariff is once cost to us there is also the fee cost. This is why your invoice and "declared value' on the postage labels will be completely different to the purchase price.

Will I get a request to pay the tariff?

No you will not be asked by us or USPS or any other agency to pay a tariff. If you are in the United States and have a purchase arrive with a request to pay the tariff by USPS please DO NOT pay this. I will likely be a scam. All tariffs are collected prior by the country it is coming from, no USA customers need to worry about making an extra payment. If you have any issue please contact us.
