What is the right pillow density for me?

What is the right pillow density for me? When considering buying a pillow there are a few things to consider. There is the filling type, plenty to choose from. The choice might usually come down to the budget. Any of our 90 and 95% downs are excellent, fluffy and long lasting, they feel soft to touch and wont leak feathers out of them at all. So once you have thought which down you might go with its now time to consider what density level will be best suited. We have LOW or SOFT, MEDIUM and FIRM density. SOFT or LOW...

Update on misleading documents from a Melbourne quilt manufacturer. 14/03/2023

Nothing here has changed. The latest on the misleading documents from Danish Eiderdowns aka Feather Factory etc. is this. They still have not been willing to show to us or their customers a correct Australian Customs required Vet Health Certificate. Its 5 years on since we pushed them on this issue. We do random checks on this. They still use downs imported from China. They also dont mention the fabric quality eg thread count. They have recently copied our "super soft" option. This is in text only of course because the super soft we use comes from Germany. They dont...

Supreme Quilts is now Carbon Neutral

Without getting into the whole carbon/global warming debate I did decide to at least have a look at how to make our business carbon neutral. When I was producing postage notes for some of our deliveries I noticed on the Australia Post website they mentioned they are now carbon neutral with all of the deliveries. I wondered how, how do they do this, how is it actually possible. So I Googled how is Australia Post carbon neutral which got me to how to make my business carbon neutral. I stumbled over a number of sites and came across an Australian carbon...

Fill Weight Comparisons

Fill Weight Comparisons

We have noticed some irregularities with fill weights among many sellers or manufacturers of goose down quilts. Thinking it is an important part of buying a quilt we decided to show what our fill weights are compared to others. The other brands are massively UNDER filled. 25-30% under filled!!! Supreme Quilts has had all of the fillings tested to ensure the fill weights are correct to create a specific blanket warmth so we know our fill weights are correct for our specific downs. *Feather Factory is also know as Danish Eiderdowns, Alpine Down Quilts and Pillows and Down Quilts. For...

Certificates

Certificates

Supreme Quilts are always importing various European Class 1 downs many times during each year. All of these downs are continually monitored by various industry regulators. IDFL (International Down & Feather Laboratory) , IDFB (International Down & Feather Bureau, Downpass, Traumpass etc. These certificates are something we seek upon importation as often as we can, included always for every single import is a Vet Health Certificate which is compulsory for importation by Australian Customs and Quarantine.

Downpass is essentially the certification that of RDS, some suppliers use Downpass others use RDS.

For more information click on the link to Downpass: www.downpass.com/en/homepage/

The Downpass certification number for our supplier is DE D 7590001

Our documents do not and never will have sections blocked out or hidden unlike another feather and down factory in Melbourne. We will continually add certificates when needed and will continually oust a misleading manufacturer on this issue. We will continually authorise blog pages on their misleading and deceptive conduct. We make no apologies for this.

A Vet Health Certificate in now only provided upon request to cut down on paper waste.
